A Points System! need Some Help

Hey I need A BBcode For this little thing i want

i just want a simple BB code that creates a points system and multiplies the amount of member's points by 2

i have the base of it but i don't know what to put for content (custom profile manager blush.gif )

i tried {total_posts}x2 blush.gif


and it failed xD

or {title}:{total_posts} etc

i need some help please biggrin2.gif

I don't think you can use any form of calculations inside the custom profile field, they are only BBCode ultimately.

What are you wanting to actually do and do you have some kind of points system already ?

What exact version are you using 2.3.5 / 2.3.6 etc ?

You should upgrade to 2.3.6 which will address several exploits and may very well address the issue you are having in 2.3.5.

Do you have a points system already installed ?

If not (after upgrading to 2.3.6 as Martin has said) , install one.

I can then provide some edits to a couple of files to increment the points field per post etc.

Umm I don't exactly have a points system mod installed (im not a person who like's mod ever since it crashed my database)

so i was wondering if i could have a simple custom profile field code lol blush.gif

Its not difficult to forcibly update a field with every post (from memory two files to edit) , but getting it to display this field is more work. Installing something like iPoints may be a simple way around it to be honest...
